Red Auerbach left a legacy in basketball that towers over all others in coaching history. As integral a part of the Boston Celtics as the Boston Garden itself or any of its players, one can gaze into the rafters without recognizing the genius of Arnold 'Red' Auerbach. His discipline and guidance is a model for all coaches, although is sometimes remembered best for his outspoken behavior on the sidelines where he was fined $17,000 during his tenure at the Boston helm.
